Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged Latin American leaders to help Ukraine secure urgently needed equipment to repair its power infrastructure, saying every power plant has been damaged by Russian attacks. Zelenskyy warned that Ukraine needs equipment compatible with its power grid “and we need it fast”. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has predicted a “very big” deal with Russia involving not only Ukraine but potentially all of Europe, following an unscheduled meeting with Vladimir Putin’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev. Elsewhere, Russia and Ukraine exchanged overnight strikes, a Russian oil refinery came under attack, and Italy’s Giorgia Meloni criticised Europe’s approach to Ukraine negotiations.
